The second pillar: everyday skills that make independence possible.
Joseph is not overly keen on books, but he makes a mean cake. Cyclist, mat maker and candle maker are all on his ever growing CV. That is the heart of this pillar: we teach the skills a learner will actually use, in the order they will need them.
Lessons are broken into small, repeatable steps and practised in real settings — the kitchen, the washroom, the playground and the classroom.
See the classes
Four strands run through every learner’s week.

Communication and social skills, self grooming such as toileting, dressing and bathing, plus eating and drinking.

Colours, shapes, numbers, letters and attention — taught at each learner’s pace.

Cooking, laundry, house chores and the routines that make a home run.

Cycling, swimming, music and sport — the things that make a life, not just a timetable.
Book a visit, ask a question or support a learner — we would love to hear from you.
